Q: I would like to come and look at your program and do a free session. I am looking for a trainer and would like to see if this is what I need.

A: You are welcome to stop by one of our club practices (check practice schedule on web site for times and locations) or we can set up a one on one FREE Session. Let me know. Whatever is convenient for present or future clients.

Q: Decades ago I competed in Track and Field as a sprinter and high jumper. I would like to get back into doing same. I am definitely a Senior. What are the costs associated with your club? I live in Tempe, but work in Avondale so I would not be able to come to all workouts. Your website is quite extensive and I apologize for asking for more info but...

A: The club is for athletes ranging in age from 5 to 90 plus. It’s a YOUTH, OPEN, SUB-MASTERS, MASTERS AND SENIORS club. One for all and all for one! The Cost for the Track Club is $35 per monthfor individuals and $65 per month for families of two or more. USATF yearly membership (paid to USATF), is $20 (youth) and $30 (19 and older) for year (Jan to Dec). Uniforms run around $30-$55 depending on style.

Practices are on Tues/Thurs @ 6pm @ Marcos de Niza HS in Tempe and/or Mon/Wed @ 5pm @ Hamilton HS in Chandler. We also hold a Sunday morning practice @ ASU "A" Mountain @ 8am (call coach Rawle) and 5pm.

Note: Sunday Hill Training Sessions are now being held at 8am (call) and 5pm. Choose one!

Q: Is it to late too join club track if not, how would I join?

A: Oh it's never too late to join the club. The club is pretty much a year round club. Just stop by one of our practice sessions (check web site for practice schedule, times and locations), introduce yourself and join us for a training session.

Q: Can I get the website?

A: hmmm www.speedbyrawle.com www.fthtc.info www.getfastgetfit.com

Q: Coach Rawle,
My daughter is in 6th grade and just finished her first season in track and field. She has really enjoyed track and would like to continue. I was wondering if you have practice or camps during the summer. We would really like to work on form and increasing speed. Any suggestions?
Thanks

A: Glad to hear your daughter enjoyed her first track season and she wants to continue with track.
I usually hold track practice though out the year, so it shouldn't be a problem for her to continue training and even competing.

Cost for the Track Club is $35 per month. If you want to compete,, need a USATF yearly membership, which is $20 for year. Uniforms run around $30-$55 depending on style.

Practices are on Tues/Thurs @ 6pm @ Marcos de Niza HS in Tempe and/or Mon/Wed @ 5pm @ Hamilton HS in Chandler. Sunday Hill Training Sessions are now being held at 8am (call) and 5pm. Choose one!

Q: Hello!

I will be visiting the Phoenix area next week and I am looking for a challenging group to run with. I compete as a professional triathlete and my running is relatively strong. I am wondering if I could attend your group sessions next week - specifically Thursday night and Sunday morning. I am wondering if you could tell me more about these workouts and if it would be possible for me to attend.

Thanks so much!
A: Most definitely you can attend our training sessions. Just stop by and introduce yourself to either myself, another coach or one of our athletes. I am usually at Marcos de Niza around 5:45pm and practice starts at 6pm.

Depending on what phase you are at in your training, I will give you the appropriate workout. It's always a good idea for athletes to break the monotony of the longer stuff for some shorter faster repetitions that will touch your speed and anaerobic threshold.

Q: Please send me the speed workout for my daughter and her friends for this summer track season. Thank you very much

A: You can check out "Our Training Programs" or "Sample Speed Workouts" on this web site. You can also find a lot of my workouts that I give to my athletes at my BLOG.

Remember: 2 to 3 fast workouts per week will have her running faster than she would if she did slower longer stuff. Remember slow running makes for slow racing. http://getfastgetfit.blogspot.com/

Q: Rawle,
Is personal training at Phoenix College an option for you?
Johnnette

A: Absolutely, I try to make it as convenient as possible for my clients within reason. Please let me know if you are interested in a training session. The first session is always FREE, so you can kind of test the waters.
Note: My afternoons and evenings Monday thru Thurs are usually very busy, but mornings and day times are very flexible.
