ABOUT US

Feel The Heat Track Club

  Mission Statement & Objectives

Feel The Heat Track Club (FTHTC) Club (USATF #48-0277) was formed to provide a competitive environment for track and field, long distance,  triathlon and fitness athletes who wish to compete at the local, national, and international levels or just stay in shape for health and well-being.

FTHTC is a Club for youth, high school, college, and post collegiate runners to continue training and competing after their season or college career comes to an end.  This will make their transition from Elementary to Junior High to High School to College and finally, long-term running a lot easier than if they were to train on their own.  Sub-masters, Masters Athletes and Fitness Enthusiast are a big part of our club also. Our focal point is the development of SPEED as our primary fitness, weight lost, muscle building, training and racing goal for all events, distances and lifetstyles.

The club focuses on creating an atmosphere that is high in competitive spirit, discipline and learning, while at the same time providing a friendly, fun filled, and stress free environment.  The club was formed to compete at a high level, but not at the detriment of the athletes’ mental or physical well-being.  We want our athletes to enjoy running, jumping, swimming, biking and throwing while at the same time training and competing at their highest-level possible. This requires a delicate but attainable balance.  We DO NOT want any of our club members to feel that they are in an intimidating environment.  All club members, coaches and parents always support one another to the fullest extent possible.

The coaches, the administrators, and athletes commit to each other; which in turn ensures that the club remains a permanent fixture in the community.  We TRAIN HARD, COMPETE HARD, REST HARD, and HAVE FUN while doing it!  The ultimate goal is not only the development of World and National Class athletes, but also the development of each individual club member to achieve their own Personal Goals and to gain Confidence for life.  The club will be a center of information for training, upcoming meets, and running events, as well as health and fitness related issues.

Our Pledge – Athletes, Administrators, Coaches and Parents

We pledge to our athletes, the local, national and international communities and to each other to:
• Deliver consistent, quality, professional, responsible and appropriate training to all our athletes
• Treat each individual athlete as a unique individual with understanding, integrity, honor, patience and respect
• Put the athletes’ best interest first
• Listen to the athlete
• Train on a consistent basis
• Respect those we compete against
• Recognize and acknowledge our sponsors and businesses we partner with
• Respect all officials, judges and meet and/or race directors
• Show appreciation to the fans who come out to support us
• Learn, develop personally and have fun

FTHTC was inspired by the vision of Coach Rawle Crichlow, who was frustrated by the lack of organized Track Clubs in the Phoenix Metropolitan area for post-high school, open, post-collegiate, sub-masters,  masters and seniors athletes.

Don’t Train Slow to Race Fast! It’s All about SPEED!”
